How do I restore my data to WISeID from the Cloud or Dropbox?
Restoring Data from the WISeKey Cloud or Dropbox
Sometimes users delete their WISeID app accidentally, or lose their phone.
If this has happended to you, and you have used the "Backup" function in WISeID to Sync your data with the Cloud, then you can restore your data the same way. Note that WISeID does NOT automatically backup your data to the cloud, you must have explicitly used the BACKUP function in WISeID to backup data to either your DropBox account or to the WISeKey Cloud for this recovery to work.
- Install WISeID again, if its not already installed on your phone.
- Set your master password, it can be a new master password, or it can be the old one that you previously used.
- Logon to your WISeKey Cloud account (CertifyID), its important that you use the same account that you made your backup to if you wish to recover the data.
- Go to the Menu, and select "Backup".
- Select your backup mode - either WISeKey Cloud or Dropbox - it should correspond to where you made your backup.
- Then tap the button titled "Sync with Cloud"
- Enter the Master Password that you used when you made the backup.
- Your data should be restored from the Cloud backup.
